My collection gets its inspiration from peasants’ life on the turn of the 20th century, just before the russian revolution. It was hard and significant time in history, when old and new worlds collided. Dramatic changes occurred in people’s minds. Specifically an idea of my concept comes from national costume.

There is a short episode on the edge of eras, when new tendencies confront with traditions. And we can see this conversion in Russian traditional costume in the late 19th century as well. With my collection I wanted to give a different point of view on stereotypes of so-colled russianness and combine archaic features of national  costume with futuristic elements of urban life.

Volume, embroidery and floral ornament are the most known in russian costume, and they define “russian style”. I put them together to my collection with accenting contrast between traditions and modernity through sport fabrics, details and accessories.

In 2016 the first avant-garde collection took a place as one of 11 finalists in International Talent Support competition, Trieste, Italy. Furthermore, it was featured in fashion magazines as VOGUE Italy, Elle Italy, BASIC-magazine, CNN Style etc.

Every piece of the collection is unique, including fabric, which was exclusively designed and embroidered for this collection. The collection's concept is balance of controversies. It combines a laconic elegance of Scandinavian minimalism and dramatic chic of Russian style.

Collection was inspired by Frida Kahlo’s iconic style. Her rebellious spirit became a base of it. It was created to present personality and self-confidence of every woman  who chooses to stay an exception. She likes being herself, but still a woman even in the rush of a city.

Carefully chosen materials give a feeling of tenderness, comfort and every day enjoying. The main fabric of collection is famous Liberty London’s Tana Lawn printed cotton. This is a cotton that behaves like silk – ultra-fine, with a fluid hand-feel and intense depth of colour that is truly unmatchable.

Here’s the story of me, who put all on red to make my dream become reality, and I lost.
It’s about feelings and thoughts you get after your hope crushed, and your life’s meaning is lost.
That happens, when you push yourself so hard with all passion and energy you have.
The win was so close, but as a result you fail. In the end you feel so empty and ruined.
There is nothing left to continue the battle, so you’re ready to give it up and just runaway from this reality.
There will be a long way to get it through and finally accept you are not perfect. And there will be a new day after fall, it should be.

This is the second chapter of my story, that is just beginning, I hope so at least. This part has to be about restarting your mind, accepting yourself and inflaming your passion back. This collection is like a way to say thank you, my dearest ones, you’re still with me. I promise, I don’t stop trying. It’s not the end, not yet.
